Mr. & Mrs. F

I think one of the neatest things about Forslund furniture is the emphasis that Mr. F placed on family. When you look through an old catalog, you see picture after picture of some member of this great family. Carl Forslund started his business in 1935 and when the store closed in 1991, there were still Forslunds selling that same quality furniture.

Hi. I obtained a black Rip Van Lee
as payment for helping some one move. It was made in 1981,the authintication sticker on the bottom tells who it was made by and for, but has faded (as have my eyes)
It is an awesome chair w/otoman.
Still in great condition aside from a few cat claw marks on the top. It is increadibly comfy and the new cat fur throw rug looks great draped over the back. I was wondering if you know the value of such a chair. I have no plans to get rid of it but it would be nice to know. Thanks!

If you are ever interested in selling this chair, I'll buy it. I've been searching for one since the store closed, right after, and I had no idea they were going to close their doors else I would have made sure to have one... it seemed to be something that had always been, so who could imagine life in Grand Rapids without Forslund's!
